I would think when you push the button "commit to buy" you have made a contract with the seller to exchange goods for the money. If he cannot prove that he was burglurized and the items were sotlen, he will be breaking a contract and he can be liable for doing so. Demand for a copy of a police report that a burglary had taken place, if he cannot produce such, notify ebay. Not sure if you will ever get your components, but it might get this shyster booted out of ebay at least for some time and save other honest bidders from the getting cheated.
