Perhaps you should ask this question in the Single Speed and Fixed gear forum. You will probably find people who have broad knowledge about these bikes. You don't really have a serious "commute", but more of a ride around town bike. Those are nice looking pics, but I know nothing about that class of bike. You might want to consider weight of these bikes.

You might also find somethiing decent on CL in this price range.
