Got the new 7100 last night (Friday).UPS guy always comes to my house last, so it was dark by the time it was delivered & did'nt have a chance to ride it. Overall quality seems good! The shocks on the front are supposed to be adjustable, but i did'nt notice any difference between min & max settings. The seat looks like it will be comfortable, with good padding. I put some of my things from my old mountain bike on it (lights, bottle holder) but could'nt get the rack to fit on the back. Maybe because it's for a "26" MTB? Actually the front holders that screw into the frame under the seat would'nt reach or else it would've worked with about an inch clearance. I tried to mount my Avenir U lock to the frame under the seat, but (1 it would've interfered with the cable going to the shifter, & (2 the nuts & bolts to the mount were too short (thicker frame than MTB) & the U lock would be in the way of the water bottle! I ended up mounting the U lock under the seat. Even this presented a challenge, as without the spacers the mount did'nt tighten & with them the nuts & bolts would'nt reach. So i ended up cutting up a thick rubber band in half & putting it between the mount. Perfect! "I think this will be a comfortable bike, as the riding position is more upright than a road bike & the tires are bigger than i expected.
