I don't know about DK. Some of their products are whatever and the completes are just okay. When I was beginning I broke a a pair of handle bars and I wasn't even rough on the bike and I don't weigh 500lbs or anything like that.
I remember that, broke at the weld and cross bar or something.
I had a General Lee that I beat and abused for quite some time before I broke the chainstay and bottom bracket. I TIG'd it and flogged on it for another month or so before getting a new frame. But that was when DK was still quality.
