I've written for papers; I've held local elected office--I'm OK with my approach, too.
I had threads for the first 2 years of columns but stopped posting 'em after that.
It was a column on cycling with an angle to educate those who may not understand how cyclists on the roads can be a good thing.
There will always be a segment of a population that won't change their views, but there a lot of people who are open to learning a bit and adjust their attitude accordingly
