Welcome to the 50+, which does not mean "old." I'm 65, recently retired and ride an aluminum frame road bike and an aluminum hybrid. I have ridden over 5,000 miles between the two bikes since July of last year. One of the bike shops near me just started carrying Colnago bikes and since then, I haven't been able to stay out of their shop. Those bikes are like a magnet. It looks like there is going to be an new road bike in the house in the near future.

If you don't have a bike yet, find one that you like that fits you. The brand doesn't matter as long as it's of good quality. Then get on it and ride it into the ground. Have fun!
