As long as you can fit into your clothes. Biking helps with that.

Road bikes, all rather C&V-ish like me. My rideable list contains a Peugeot, a Raleigh, a Bianchi, and a Peugeot tandem. The under-development list contains a Bertin and a Masi.

Nice bike, Brian. Last summer I treated myself to the white version of same. My first new road bike in over 20 years.

Bikes: 2018 Black Mountain Cycles MCD,2017 Advocate Cycles Seldom Seen Drop Bar, 2017 Niner Jet 9 Alloy, 2015 Zukas custom road, 2003 KHS Milano Tandem, 1986 Nishiki Cadence rigid MTB, 1980ish Fuji S-12S

Welcome. My bikes are listed below. I like a variety of riding and bikes with long road rides on drop bar road bikes being my top choice. I also like to organize cycling events and cycling advocacy initiatives in my community.

Some here react strongly to being called "old", "old fart", "geezer", "senior" and such. I am not one of those people. I'm a senior old fart and a geezer who lives a more active life than most people half my age. Words don't define me. Call me whatever you like, just be sure to call me when there is a bike ride being planned.

I'm 58, and taught myself to ride on a borrowed Schwinn Pixie. I've been a utility cyclist ever since.

"....prominent social scientist Erik Erikson.......... defines middle adulthood as between 40 and 65."

What's this talk about 'old'? Turning 62 in a couple of weeks and proud to be middle-aged. If I were old, would I have bought a new electric guitar last week? (Answer: Yes)
