Just one of the reasons helmet skeptics are skeptical is that some of these scientific studies cited by helmet advocates are of poor quality and designed with a pre-ordained result.
I certainly agree with you that most of the pro-helmet research I've seen is very poor. There are exceptions, like the large Swedish one I quoted a few hundred pages back
- as far as I can judge, that is, and I'm neither a scientist nor a statistician.
