What's to lie about? If that was brought to my shop I'd have no problem with the fact that it wasn't bought there. And Shimano aren't all that difficult to deal with either, nor are Trek , nor Cannondale, nor Norco nor any other reputable manufacturer.
OK - maybe the people YOU deal will are different
