I just finished reconfiguring my '89 Rockhopper with Soma Sparrow bars and 26x1.25" Panaracer T-Servs. I originally planned to use the Sparrow bars in "dropped" mode, but the fit just wasn't going to work without a ridiculously tall quill. It seems this bike wanted to be reborn as more of a Dutch bike wannabe than a hipster wannabe.
