I was in Mexico once. Saw a nice fake Rolex. I asked how much the guy wanted. He told me for $80.
I said "What? Are you crazy? I can get that same watch for $18. back on Canal St in NYC!"

He then tried to sweeten the deal by knocking it down to $60.
He tried to justify his price because the watches had to be shipped to him from Asia.
I told him that Mexico was closer to Asia than New York and that I was born "at" night not "last" night!

I haggled with him for 20 minutes and wore him down.
Got him down to $30. because he was a worthy adversary.
