I'm not familiar with that crankset. Is there a spacer between the two rings? Looks almost like a triple but with no teeth on the middle ring.
That toothless spacer is a Schwinn spec thing, i've been told that it was to prevent the chain from dropping between the rings. It's really thin, more of a washer than a chain ring. The sports tourers had them too and an extra chain guard on the outside.
I've got these NOS Gran Compe levers that I thought about using. I really like the bike, but I think those levers might be too special for it.
