Bikes: 1983 Peugeot UO14, KHS Green-Heavily modified, 1972 Raleigh Sprite 27" (work in progress)

The paint schemes went downhill after 1983. The 1980-83 checkerboard schemes were really nice and then some graphic artist decided to throw in rainbows for not particular reason and ruin it. The demise of Simplex, MAFAC, Maillard, Atax, and movement away from lugged frames around the same time obliterated all the class and national character of Peugeots. Italy and Japan are really the only countries producing bikes of national character anymore. Even the Dutch are subcontracting so much out now that the novelty isn't the same.
