yepper...I put a red reflector over my 200 lm flashlights and yes the output is diminished (I would not say they dropped by 90% - more like 30% at the most, to my eye) for the daytime, nighttime they still put out a very good strobe/steady light - no SuperFlash but all in all I am happy with my 'el cheapo' temporary lighting.
