no, you're definitely right, I guess that's why I liked philadeux's post so much. it's all too easy to be reactionary and lobby for the separation of bikes and booze, but really i think it comes down to moderation, or, put another way, balance.
as for the bravado, i guess when i hear posts about how so-and-so was so drunk he fell off his bike three times on the way home, i think 'man, that sounds
awful. buzzed is different than bombed.
