Here's what I do...

I shower. Dry myself off. Apply an odourless aluminium-based (nothing else really works - and it's harmless, which unfiltered vegetable oils aren't!) antiperspirant.

That keeps me from smelling for at least three days. Due to very dry skin, I can't shower daily without problems. But, as it turns out, I don't smell after two days, even when I've been out on long rides both days.
I start to smell a little on the third day.

Usually, I shower every other day, though. More often if I'm really sweaty.
