I was a Marine formerly and was embarrassed that I had allowed myself to reach the point I did. I had to do something. Also, my Doc told me if I did not change something I would not see 40 years of age. I am now 49 and in much better health than I was back then. I started out as a hardcore mtb'er and have only recently been bitten by the commuting/touring bug. But it has its teeth in me deep now. It is all I think of, riding and exploring new places. I still mtb as that is a great activity also but the touring and commuting can be done right outside my front door!
