An observation... I remember there was a time when a road bike with racing geometry, had a corncob and was used for.... racing. Performance was paramount at the expense of comfort. Nowadays, it compacts and pie-plates as anything goes now. I can understand some who may be uninformed, making comments about stem height seeing how these bikes are set up for comfort.
