Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

no real, issues.. There are bar end shifters on the drop bar bikes.

Only my IG hub bikes 'index', the derailleur bikes are all in a friction mode..
Interesting information but of absolutely no use to the OP.
