Lightest frame for under $400?
Thinking of building another bike. Used to have a Kilo TT, loved it, had to sell it. Last year build a pretty nice 10sp bike, alu frame, neuvation wheelset, dura ace cassette, carbon seat, etc.
But the Kilo, and fixed gear riding, stayed with me. So I want to build another bike and this time a fixed/single speed.
I'm thinking frame wise of the All City big block. looks really nice and seems to be extremely well built. Love that drop out.
Not really in love with the Kilo TT frame set, would rather spend a bit extra for something better. Don't want to go over ~$400 on the frame though.
Whats the deal with the Leader frames? is it mostly hype or are they really that great?
In my mind this bike will primarily serve as a strength training, speed demon, kind of bike. For long distance and for road riding i have my 10 speed. its fast and my area is very hilly. I want the single speed to be something thats very specialized, built for speed, very light, and something that looks good, a personal touch.
I'm afraid i don't know enough about the fixed gear world to sift through all the hyped names.
