Thanks all...it's a fracture on the part of the leg that meets the knee on a joint. Borderline on needing surgery - I find out next week. Crutches 6-8 weeks and our house has 4 floors...bedroom on top.
I had to set up a temp. bedroom on our main floor for two weeks after my knee reconstruction two years ago.
Stairs were not possible for me after they rebuilt my knee.
Do you have a restroom you can use on a lower level and is there a room where you could at least put a temporary bed?
Not optimal but quite practical for the short term.
