Sure. It's also true that a training tire will wear longer than a racing tire, which also tilts the scales in favor of the Contis. What I was trying to address was the suitablility of these two tires as commuter tires. I absolutely loved the Ultremos. They were the best riding tire I've used. Even so, besides wearing out faster, the Ultremos got a lot of flats on dry roads, while the GP 4 Seasons have gotten no flats on wet or dry roads (and I've mostly used them on wet roads). They don't roll quite as nicely as the Ultremos, but they're decent and, in my experience, they have significantly better puncture resistence.

Of course, I don't know how the Ultremo R.1 compares to the Ultremo ZX in this regard or how either of them compares to the DD in terms of road feel.
