I don't think I have ever not wanted to ride; the only thing that would stop me is the weather. If it's raining or too cold. The ride is just too far to go (for me, anyway) if it's wet out. I get up the same time every day and if I don't ride I go to the gym. My gas is paid for by the company, so I ride for the fun of it anyway. That and maybe just a little less crap in the air, and one car less on the road.
