'pink cinelli' should have been the title of that early '80s album by that excellent new wave band from new york. the 'pink cinelli' album was still esoteric and cutting edge, but sounded a little funkier and more worldly than their previous releases. after the release of 'pink cinelli,' the band trailed off with lesser releases, hair band noise took over the airwaves, and rock was adrift for years. just recently though, the band released a statement that they will be reforming (after years of drug abuse, solo works, art exhibits and magic shows) and playing 'pink cinelli' in live shows, in its entirety. it's kind of exciting actually.
