In my opinion if you want to shave like a man, get yourself a straight razor. Of course a Double Edge razor is perfectly acceptable for the days when you don't feel quite so manly.
There is a reason almost nobody uses a straight razor anymore. It takes a LOT longer and you risk slicing your face to pieces. The only people who still used a straight razor are super macho guys who like to brag about being old-school manly...and nobody really cares. Quit romancing the olden days. Shaving is a necessary evil. No need to drag it out with dangerous tools that take forever to get the job done. I have no doubt that if the dosposable razor had been available 200 years ago, that is how they would have done it. Forget all this "shave like a man" crap.
