Well....
In my neck of the woods, the shops around here only stock spokes at 2 mm interval. My guess would be that for DT, 292/294 got them the closest to theoretical ideal.
If WS either had greater resolution, or if they'd simply stocked WS at odd numbers, you'd get another selection that'd be closest to theoretic ideal.
Maybe running DT on one side and WS on the other would have gotten you even a little bit closer to theoretical ideal.
