on the gatorskin 25mm, max PSI is 120, recommended is 95.

Conti did a lot of testing and development to maximize that tire's performance at 95psi. That is the sweet spot. The further away from that number you go, the more you are making a compromise.

Over inflate them and they are harsh, use the PSI they were designed for, and they ride and perform very nice.
+1 My CX bike got more comfortable when I put on Gatorskins. This is on bike with an uber stiff inexpensive aluminum frame. Did my first metric on them 2 weeks ago.
