how much faster do you think a Giant rapid 1 would be ?
I am having a hard time finding one to test drive.
What do you mean?

They're both fast hybrids. It's just that you have more personal manual control in the gear changes with the Rapid 1, than you do with the Seek 0. Also, if something goes wrong with the internal gearing of the Seek, it's gonna cost you an arm and a leg getting it replaced, whereas if something goes wrong with the Rapid's gearing, it won't cost as much. That's especially so, if you can do it independently!

Just the Alfine 8 speed IGH itself, cost $300, not to mention labor.

IMHO, the Rapid 1 is the smarter (more frugal) way to go!
