Thanks for all the help, I've been lurking these forums since 2007, but haven't posted much.
I've been very very satisfied with this bicycle, and since previous road bike I owned was a newish aluminum entry level bike, this one feels like a dream compared to the old one I used to drive. I dig the classic geometry and the bicycle looks so stylish and elegant. Though, I had problems with the headset, it kept unscrewing and I managed finally to tighten it up so it doesn't unscrew itself when driving over rough roads. Also, I broke the seat post screws (campagnolo) and replaced it with a quick release for the moment, hope to get a replacement screw in a few days.
It would be great to know what the frameset is, or isn't.
But I am most pleased to hear you already enjoy the bicycle.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable ride to do some bird watching today.
...and then a leisurely lunch at a local lake.

A 1960s Hercules and a mid 1980s Peugeot mixte.
Sometimes the best rides are not on high zoot Italian racing bicycles.
No matter what, your bicycle still looks very nice.
