Very observant. Yep, moved for a new job.

They say that the snow around here doesn't last long due to the Chinook winds. Hopefully, my studded tires will do the trick, if that is the case. A guy at work told me that they run some kind of vehicle with a brush over the fantastic MUP they have here. In that case, I may not even need to change my route come snow fall, though I doubt they will be out early enough clearing it for my purposes. The MUP makes up 75% of my route. The straighter shot on city streets is almost entirely on the Snow Route street I live on. Some way or another it will work.

You are right about the length of the winters though. I've already started to accumulate doubters at work regarding my intention to commute by bicycle through the winter. I'm not sure who will turn out right, but I won't give up easily.
