If no, then it's a crap deal.

Hard to tell what kind of condition its in from the pics though. Red chainrings are frail (IMO) and shifting performance sucks when the teeth start to bend (this is based on a sample set of 1, not an exhaustive study)

As for weight it'll be more than a pound lighter (http://www.totalcycling.com/component-weights.html) but it wont' shift as smoothly, it will be louder but perhaps faster from gear to gear. It's a personal taste thing really.
im using compact 50/34 and 172.5 arms.

but like i said, i plan to put red this when i get a roadracer later on. do those use BB30?

that sucks that you say red chainrings are frail. i woudn't wanna drive all the way to hermosa beach and find out it's not in an ideal shape.

that more than a pound lighter sounds good though.
