With some reservation I can say that when I got laid off they actually did me a favor. Better work environment, better location, better hours...

Now if my kids were going to college in Montana instead of 1700 miles away, all would be ideal.

So far the morning commute has been fantastic, riding along the Missouri past the falls, with the temperature around 60F and the sun shining. Then the late afternoon commute, even with the temperature around mid 90F isn't so bad since the humidity has actually been single digits and there's always a breeze. For a Midwesterner, single digit humidity in the summer is almost incomprehensible.
