Lower end store brand bike. Except for a few special exceptions, even the LBS branded MTBs from that era have minimal value. The value in a bike like this is riding it and enjoying it. Vintage MTBs get no respect from buyers (I love them, but can't get squat for them).
I think they represent tremendous value for the average recreational rider, or for commuters as well. But the market does not agree with me.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
