VO, Gyes, and Cardiff saddles are all made by the same manufacturer. I believe that manufactorer also does other brands, such as Dia Compe branded saddles, and one or two others, I think.

I have a VO model 1 and a VO model 6 (which is the same as the Dia Compe saddles). I think they are fantastic, and I got both of them on sale for about $110 total, plus shipping. They were both treated with neatsfoot oil fairly often at the beginning, now just once in a while wipe-downs. I am a clyde at 225 lbs, so maybe that negated the extra stiffness from that mesh on the underside that some people worry with. Also, I am very tall/ long-legged, so I appreciate the longer rails on the VO saddles.

I am currently trying to decide between the Cardiff Cornwall (B17 clone) or maybe the Gyes version of the Brooks Flyer, for my next purchase. It'll go on my city-fied Trek 820.
