25 years ago my ass suffered through my attempts to use a Brooks Professional.
First, the Brooks is far from being a Turbo. Second, why would I want a hundred year old design, that weights over a half pound extra, requires breaking in, then ongoing maintenance when I insist on being an all weather cyclist, when I could have a modern design, that benefits in terms of weight, comfort and all weather durability from being built using modern materials?
I understand that you Brooks users enjoy your flavour of Koolaid. It just isn't to everyone elses tastes. Sally forth and enjoy your steel railed, leather, crotch hammock. I hear Marino jersey are also making a come back. Perhaps I should dig my old Rivat's out of the closet and see if the cleats are still nailed in the correct position:-)
