From: 6 miles inland from the coast of Sussex, in the South East of England

Bikes: Dale MT2000. Bianchi FS920 Kona Explosif. Giant TCR C. Boreas Ignis. Pinarello Fp Uno.

Had a crank set that creaked on my son-in-laws bike. It was a Truvatif Elita and I have them on two of my bikes with no problems. Changed the creaking one over to my spare Elita complete with bottom bracket and problem cured. What I also did was put the creaking crank set onto one of my bikes and no problem at all. Just the crank set and not the B.B.

6 months later and the son-in-laws bike started creaking again so checked it out properly. No play anywhere- BB in tight- crank bolt done up really tight and I could not get a noise when I was riding it. Son-in-law did though. His legs are far stronger than mine and he carries a lot more weight. Some how that combination of strong heavy rider and the Truvatif BB and a "Slightly" worn crank set creaks.

Made him buy a 105 Compact with BB on offer and no problems.
