I've came close to getting knocked over by insane winds on the Golden Gate Bridge, and seen 3 people get knocked over from it (one was my friend, and after I helped him up and we sat there resting for a few minutes, two more people turned the same corner and also got knocked down). Most of the bridge diffuses the wind, but when you approach the large pylons you have to take a little sharp turn around it and just get blasted with strong, cold ocean air. I knew from experience to expect the crazy gusts when making those turns, but a lot of people didn't.
