I love them. I like the fact that they don't stick out past the frame like the cantis do, and they definitely squeal less. I know the CX9s are supposed to be made for the new gen Shimano levers but I think they would be a little better if they had slightly more pad travel. You'd get that with the TRP CX8.4, but you'd lose a little mechanical advantage. These do have an abundance of that though so it wouldn't be a problem. There is plenty of clearance for the fender under the CX9 so I think losing 6mm of clearance wouldn't hurt you. (you may have noticed I run my fenders really high as it is, to provide clearance for winter studded tires when the time comes)
