Interesting. I hadn't thought of keeping track of days spent commuting. I've been keeping track of my mileage and logging that in the thread on this forum. I think next year I'll add tallying how many days to my record keeping.
It's tempting to try to extrapolate how may days I've ridden from my commuting mileage totals, but my trips are split between three different routes into work, two different routes home from work, another two home from school and the route into school. Although all these are within a mile or two of each other, over some 1500 commuting miles for the year it introduces quite a bit of variation into the estimation!
I'd like to think I ride every commute and only take the bus if I am sick or injured, or the winds are higher than 35 mph, but between mid-July and the end of October I hardly rode at all because I succumbed to getting an extra hour of sleep while I had a friends car borrowed. Makes me worry about ever getting a car again, it's so easy to be lazy! If only I lived somewhere without hills!
