I could chew you out because my commute consists of 11 miles one way of noisy highway, up and down hills, traffic lights etc. and I love it. But instead I will motivate you. Make the best of it and take it as a challenge in the morning and you'll be used to it in no time. You could also alternate your ride back home at night to a longer more peaceful route if that's possible. Other than that, maybe more weekend riding instead??
