The hoods look to me like they're the same. I think I saw somewhere that 5500 and 6510 hoods were compatible, which is why I thought they'd work with 6500 also.
After comparing photo's I'd say they would fit but there is a difference. The 5500/6500 hoods have 2 flight deck buttons on the side while the 5510/6510 hoods only have 1.
