Yup, I can't imagine those things staying on the tires very well. I'd hate to have them come off at speed and wrap around the axle. Instant crash at speed. Plus it looks like they would last about 3 minutes on pavement. Most of us ride snow ice and pavement, but mostly pavement. Studded tires already exist and work fine.
