It depends on the character of the dent.
If it is not too severe it can be rolled out.
I've done it successfully a couple of times with hardwood blocks- though there are purpose-specific blocks available.
These are sized for the specific tube diameter.

Of course it requires a paint repair afterward - as the blocks tend to scrub the paint/decals off.
