SRAM components are poorly designed, and and fail far more frequently than Shimano or Campagnolo. Another reason I'm not a SRAM fanboy is that they really aren't innovative. Grip-Shift is really the only successful new product that they've created. Even that(twist shifting) had been done before. Many of their products aren't even their own design, but were designed by other companies that they purchased(Avid, Rock Shox, Zipp).

On the plus side, their warranty department works quickly, and never gives me a hassle.
