if you made something out of aluminum here, they would steal the rack and leave the bikes, it takes a genius to make something out of a metal thats stolen day and night to sell for scrap. Why not just hang a sign on it that says steal me. They put in these nice aluminum street light poles here and the thieves simply unbolted the heavy cast aluminum access plates and stole every one. They also had aluminum covers for the inground garbage cans, until nearly every one was stolen and they had to go with fiberglass.
