thelung: i'm sure the platform will help a bit.. but then again, i've never tried the candy. before i was going to get the candy with blue platform.. but couldn't at the time, till i found the EB at supergo on sale for $50, then i pulled the gun and got it.

personally i don't think the platform will help that much because on road shoes.. the bottom is flat, therefore, there will still be a gap between the front and rear of the platform before the actual contact to the bottom of the road shoes. the main contact point u will feel first is the part where the cleat goes in. then after that.. i'm sure u'll feel the dead space when ur pedeling downward and pulling upwards on the platform.

these pedal are made for mt. biking, thus mt. biking shoes will have the cleat embedded into the sole, which will make the platform helpful. i hope that make sense...
