I like Jethro's partial solution: Be inefficient. If you have to go to another room for something, get the one thing. Do a lot of trips. Check something outside. I try to make a point of getting up and down a lot. Much of our lives are spent not exercising. If we can squeeze some movement into those times it sure can't hurt.
