speedplay lite actions are what I ride (road)

dual sided entry makes it easier to clip in.

Ive never had an issue clipping out.

with all that said, I think mountain systems may be a little easier for a first timer
I have time atacs on my mtb, very wide clip, dual sided, clears mud efficiently.
