As Cali Axela, you do need to fix the front fender, not just for looks, but it will work better that way, too.
Also, consider attaching a mud flap to it. Even better.

ok, ok... it's fixed! I was in a hurry to get the fenders on and didn't want to mess with shortening the rods - did it yesterday with my handy dremel. Also added power grips and swapped out the stem for one a little less aggressive.
