What are your plans? if it fits well and your comfortable on that is the best bike you could possible have. You can do fast paced group rides, commute, train, trail riding even some mountain biking but you would have to pick the bike up and 'cross it over most obstacles, even some light touring or randonneurering. About the only thing you can't do on that is racing, I don't think cantis are allowed in road races.
What is up with the headset? I hope the threads are OK and it is just lose for some other reason. What are the components? I think I see Mafac cantilevers, and a Suntour derailleur? What are the cranks? Last question is the bridge on the seatstays drilled?
I am fixing it up for a friend. Probably just getting it back on the road again. He had it laying around his house and knew I enjoyed learning about bike mechanics. I am guessing it'll be main for commuting.

As far as my eyes can see the seatstay appears to untouched by a drill. The headset threads are fine. Not sure why it was undone, he gave it to me as is.
